New York City-based luxury designer label, Sies Marjan, was established in 2016 by Dutch Creative Director, Sander Lak after gaining much experience working with Dries Van Noten, Phillip Lim and Marc Jacobs. “Sies Marjan evokes a narrative of color, proportion and subversion fabrication.” It has quickly evolved into a multi-category business with footwear and RTW for both women and men. His debut in New York Fashion Week 2016 instantly put the brand under the attention of an international audience. “Sander Lak was nominated for the CFDA Swarovski Award for emerging talent in 2017 and won the prize in 2018.” He was a CFDA nominee once again for the 2019 Womenswear Designer of the year. His designs continue portraying an original eclectic style as he plays with draped silhouettes, interesting textures, brilliant colors, and the combination of NYC and Antwerp styles.
