For orders shipped to all other U.S. states, LUISAVIAROMA can neither collect nor pay use tax or sales tax on customers’ behalf. At the end of the year U.S. State Authorities may require American citizens to pay these taxes for online purchases.

LUISAVIAROMA shall under no circumstances be held responsible for these taxes.

LUISAVIAROMA dispatches items worldwide using UPS or DHL however LUISAVIAROMA does not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Shipments to EU countries do not contain invoices or any other documents indicating value of items.
As required by customs regulations shipments to non-EU countries are accompanied by invoices indicating the value of items.

Importer Requirements

LUISA VIA ROMA S.p.A. does not have a branch in the U.S. to import orders therefore customers are considered as final importers. Private U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens residing in the U.S. importing online purchased goods from abroad are required to have a Social Security Number or a Tax ID Number and must release this number willingly to the express courier or broker.

Non-U.S. citizens/residents who DO NOT have a Social Security Number can provide an assigned Importer Number from the CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection). The process to obtain a CBP assigned Import Number generally takes 10 (ten) business days.

Should parcels not be successfully delivered to customers address for reasons depending on customers (incorrect telephone number, incorrect address, absent at address, non-compliance with import regulations) as per LUISAVIAROMA commercial agreement, parcels might risk being returned to sender at customers’ expense. In such a case shipping costs and any customs charges will be deducted from any possible refund to customers.
