Philippe Model, originally known as a famous hat-maker in Paris, launched his first collection of shoes and accessories back in 1981. The collection however regained its full splendor when Paolo Gambato, well known Italian designer, met the "French genius" in an almost random way. The first shoe designed by the creative duo was called "Paris" as a tribute to the city that saw the first steps of designer Philippe Model, followed by a continuous flow of bizarre ideas in terms of style and colour combinations. The success of Philippe Model shoes certainly comes from the exciting exchange of ideas that mixes and blends the Italian flavor with the French bon ton, combined with the added taste of traditional handmade value that characterizes the product.
