A night to remember for a good cause

After such great successes of the previous two years at the Summer Gala, LuisaViaRoma and UNICEF announced a new collaboration: LuisaViaRoma for UNICEF. LuisaViaRoma and Unicef continue to partner together to support and protect children.

The collaboration called for an event that took place Saturday August 29th at the beautiful La Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri which included included an intimate dinner, a live auction, a musical appearance by the Grammy-award winning group Clean Bandit, Rita Ora and a special performance by the legendary Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli. LUISAVIAROMA CEO Andrea Panconesi, UNICEF Italy Executive Director Paolo Rozera, and Fundraising Chairman Tommaso Chiabra hosted the special evening supporting and celebrating UNICEF’s work in providing care and protection to vulnerable children across the globe.

The incredible live auction included amazing lots such as Ortaea’s Emerald Earrings, a Happy Hearts jewelry set by Chopard, artworks such as Pablo Picasso’s Tête de chèvre de profil earthenware ceramic plate, Joan Mirò’s striking L’adorateur du Soleil, Passion and Harmony by Vasily Klyukin, a video-enhanced geometric relief sculpture from the artist’s Crypto series, a diamond-dust screenprint of Marilyn Monroe by the legendary Mr. Brainwash, and photographer Ellen von Unwerth’s print “Temptress” of top model Naomi Campbell. Furthermore, unique life experiences such as a ten-day Tibet adventure with explorer Johan Ersnt Nilson, the chance to create a unique tourbillon skeleton watch with Franc Vila master watch-makers in Geneva and your own Personal Vintage of champagne with Hatt et Söner.
