Alice Sambenati - Women

Born in Venezuela but raised in Rome, the architect-by-trade Alice Sambenati began to give shape to her imagination combining her family heritage with her knowledge of volume and proportion, and drawing inspiration from everyday life. Her first designs began in the family jewelry store, where, together with her aunt, she cultivated a love for the craft and the ability to express herself through it. As she muses, “If I had to think of one keyword to associate with jewelry, it would be LIGHT.” This is where her first hand-designed and handcrafted collection was born, a synthesis of opposing elements: straight lines blending with natural elements, classic details, and minimalist shapes with intrinsic meaning. Alice handshapes her pieces in bronze using the lost art of wax casting, with the aim of creating timeless jewelry. Each individual element can be defined as “on-the-go luxury” which is constructed and deconstructed, enriched, then becoming essential to the needs of the wearer. As Alice says, “Each of us should wear only things that express our essence and make us feel confident in ourselves.”
