Nabeul Cluster Promotions

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), along with the European Union and the Italian Development Cooperation, launched “Creative Mediterranean” in 2014. The project promotes inclusive economic growth in the Southern Mediterranean by supporting local business in the creative industry, organized in regional clusters. The Nabeul Cluster is based in the city of Nabeul, a coastal town in eastern Tunisia. It focuses on ceramics, and features beautifully decorated table decorations, dishes, and pots – all produced from white and red clay. Due to international competition, the tourism crisis and the devaluation of clay, the local ceramic sector has been struggling. However, the “Creative Mediterranean” project shows that Tunisian creatives and designers are still able to tell a compelling story, thanks to their precious and modern collections.
