Memorial Day was founded in 2020 when Brooklyn-based FIT graduate Delsy revisited the hobby she one she once shared with her mother: crochet. What was initially a fun pandemic past-time quickly became more when her friends began paying for commissioned pieces. From one piece to another, Delsy hand-crocheted her colorful bucket hats in playful patterns for friends, friends of friends, and later, complete strangers. Fast forward 2 years later, the passion project is now a brand run by Delsy Gouw and her Mother, based in Indonesia.
