The theme for International Day of the Girl for 2020 is “My Voice, Our Equal Future”. This theme gives light to the global changes adolescent girls worldwide inspire for. Another thing to celebrate this year? Generation Equality, a new multi-partner campaign and movement that was launched early this year with the focus on gender equality worldwide.
On the spotlight this year, these are the topics that are extremely important are for adolescent girls to able to accomplish:
Live free from gender-based violence, harmful practices, and HIV and AIDS
Learn new skills towards the futures they choose
Lead as a generation of activists accelerating social change.
