The sunglasses brand, Velvet Canyon, was founded by sisters Bec Nolan and Cass Moase, and photographer Ali Mitton, and is based between sunny Byron Bay, Australia, Los Angeles & Paris. Velvet Canyon draws inspiration from the electric energy and classic styling of decades past, with an eye for soft lines, caramel hues, and sensual silhouettes of the 1960s and 70s. The frames are made from acetate, a material derived from cotton and wood pulp. We use high-quality, 100% UV protection CR39 lenses (please recycle these at the end of their lifetime) and are proudly cruelty-free and vegan. Our packaging consists of a vegan ‘leather’ pouch (biodegradable, of course) and a cream card box, perfect for repurposing as a beautiful catchall storage box or recycling. Velvet Canyon donates 1% of online sales to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre in the belief that everyone has the right to a safe place to call home.
