LUISAVIAROMA joined Tal for the NRJ Music Awards where she took home the award for Best French Female Artist.
The Israeli-born French artist has music in her veins. She grew up in a musical family, her mother is a singer and father a guitarist, and started playing music and dancing at the age of 3. As a little girl, she danced and acted in a theater company where she developed her talents and stage skills. She got discovered singing in a Paris piano bar by the famous producer Laura Marciano in 2009 and released her first album in 2011.Three successful albums later, Tal is back with her new single, ‘Le Temps Qu’il Faut’, a urban-pop hit sung in French and English.
We met up with Tal in Cannes, France where we spent the day getting ready with her for the 18th NRJ Music Awards. She was radiant and full of emotions for her nomination, and talked to us about her upcoming eponymous album, TAL. She says she “really took her time to do this album” and that it’s a true creation from her, having put her hands on every part of the album.
For the first time, I created this album for myself.
Tal has been in the spotlight for 7 years now, and her look has evolved with her career. Her image is just as important to her as her music, and her style has become more feminine, more grown up. When asking her who her style icon is, she responds “Definitely Rihanna” and she likes her “urban yet classy style”.
Fashion, music, style and dance are completely linked. Every single detail matters.
Just as important as her style and music, Tal loves dancing. When choosing what to wear while performing, she always chooses her clothing accordingly to go with the style of dance, for her, the two things “are completely linked”. She describes her performances as a balanced recipe of “mixing music, fashion, textures and rhythms”.
Whether it’s for her dancing, singing or her killer style, Tal inspires across the boards.
