When did wearing sneakers to go to work become acceptable? It’s no news that for FW18 that track pants are ok for a night out and comfortable leggings are preferred over jeans. Athletic gear is everywhere from the runways to the clubs to the offices. Let’s take a dive into the past, and redefine the enduring appeal of sportswear.

Tearaways aka snap-pants: Originally designed to keep basketball players warm on the bench and quickly go into the game, these pants have come a long way. For FW18 they work for every occasion, even for a night out when paired with a crop-top and heels.
White Sneakers: The all-white “tennis shoe” gained notoriety on the court during the 1920s. Since then all-white kicks have become a key wardrobe staple for off court style as well.
Belt Pack: The first noted sighting of the famous fanny pack dates back to Sports Illustrated in 1954, it was originally designed as an alternative backpack for skiers. The bag is having a major comeback for FW18. The appeal? Keep your things close and stay hands-free.
Surgical Mask: Disease control? Think again. These masks made their way into medicine at the turn of the 20th century and made their way into everyday wardrobe attire by 2000 to combat smog. This season filter your breathing air while making a fashion statement.
TrackSuit: As the name implies, the suit was popular for track and field athletes during the 1960s. Fast forward to 2018, designers from Nike to Gucci offer versions that are loved for their versatility and comfort.
