Zanita’s Guide to NYFW - NYC-header

The creative multitasker from down-under shares her perspective on the Big Apple.

NYFW week is….. well dressed chaos and a huge uber bill!

Fashion Week Survival Tip?
Pack snacks in your purse – or find an amazing intern/wingman

How is New York style different?
New York is louder and more diverse. People go a bit overboard (which I love!) with the way they dress in NYC and chill out by the time they reach the other cities.

Which shoes will you be living in this fashion week?
Short pumps and loafers. Hopefully flat shoes!

What is the key to a killer outfit?
I love a surprising element, something that contrasts the rest of the aesthetic, like wearing something floral with something sport. Juxtaposition.

If you could wear anything you want to fashion week what would it be?
I’ve been searching for this one pair of jeans… the perfect denim!!!

What pieces will everyone be wearing during fashion week this season?
Element ankle hugging boots, statement gold earrings, velvet and embroidery, anything prairie, frills.

Which shows are you most looking forward to?
The Aussies – like Zimmerman. Tommy Hilfiger is also one of my favorites.

The last song I shazzamed during a show was… Walking on Thin Ice by Yoko Ono

Snapchat or Instagram?
Both and neither! I can’t keep up.
