Where do fashion and art meet? The relationship between the two is constantly evolving and being redefined as we advance into the digital age. For the latest Step into the Surreal window series at LuisaViaRoma, digital creator Frank J. Guzzone’s ‘3D Experiments’ go hand-in-hand with the L’Autre Chose FW18 Collection – both boast bold colors and playfulness while keeping an overall clean aesthetic.

Guzzone’s latest digital concoction is one of many creations that has been featured in the 3D Digital Windows Series at LuisaViaRoma, Step into the Surreal. Launched in June 2017, the unique project showcases international 3D digital artists from around the world in the window at LuisaViaRoma in Florence, Italy.
Frank J. Guzzone’s ‘3D Experiments’ can be easily viewed on a mobile device via Instagram. His mesmerizing page captures the attention of over 100 thousand followers. His creations are 100% digital and are called experiments because he usually starts out with an idea, and something unexpected comes out.

The end result is usually the result of a bunch of happy accidents.

The New York City resident says just about anything can trigger a source of inspiration, whether it’s music, art or something he touches.  Using 3D software as a medium, the works have a distinct tactile quality, which is something Guzzone strives for.
As far as fashion goes, 3D offers the freedom to create environments and scenarios that don’t exist in the real world. The possibilities of what can be created are infinite while at the same time limited to the technology currently available. For the future, Guzzone dreams about new ways people can interact with his work, beyond a mobile screen or digital window display. “It would be amazing to find a way for people to truly interact with my work. What I think would be really interesting is the ability to physically touch the work… the ability to actually feel the work would really take it to another level.”

Special Thanks to Frank J. Guzzone.
